CLEANING AND PERSONAL HYGIENE INGREDIENTS
'Clean & Crisp'
These things work and do so in a way to make for a healthier household in the long run. I have been making products now at Hibiscus House for a few years and can verify that with little adjustments to your own water conditions mostly, you can too!
People think self sufficient and frugal ideas are some new-different and off the wall, off grid ways of thinking. It is so easy to walk in pick up a bottle of this and that, very convenient But costly and chemical laden. You know that you must live out on the prairie in a log cabin and look like 'Dirty Sally' or live in some 'Hippie Commune'.
I can tell you it is not a new way of thinking. I remember my grandparents and great grandparents making their own products, growing their own foods and I can tell you that it is not new! They did so without electricity nor running water and worked hard without the modern things we call basics of everyday living. Think about it they were much more self sufficient than we are of today.
You can be frugal without giving up anything, as a matter of fact you'll have more money to do the things you like. I make my own and that saves money to buy my Ralph Lauren dresses that I love.
Make your own products that work much better, cost way less. Save money, gas, time and enjoy other important as well as fun activities.

In the year 2015 I only purchased two huge laundry liquids from Sam's Wholesale and one smaller.
Those were used in my husband's uniforms because that is what he likes. Otherwise, I use the products I have made myself to wash all of the other laundry, even my fine hand washables , [even his everyday and dress clothing plus my Ralph Lauren as well]!
I make my own deodorant and toothpaste [without fluoride] next up will be making my own skin care products.
Also Did You Know? You can use rubbing alcohol for deodorant! I did this solely for one year! It works and works well. I now use it and switch out with my beeswax deodorant and find that works great!
When you first go homemade alternatives to deodorants you will have a short time when you will have a different odor but then it goes away. You will also perspire a lot at first and then that subsides. I don't know what it is, maybe your body is getting rid of some toxins. Either way it is very short lived and No you won't make anyone sick around you AND you won't have the need for strong chemical laden, cancer causing antiperspirants!
