Welcome to Sara's Kitchen

Sara has such a bright and wonderful kitchen.  Just look at the windows in this great room!
There would be no shortage of light in here.  She is a marvelous cook too!

When you walk into any of Sara's Rooms your eyes are drawn to her collections and antiques and her kitchen is no exception.

This soup tureen caught my eye twice so I'll show it twice.

This cute little pot rack caught my eye over to the right of the entrance.

She said something about doing something to this island but for the life of me I can't remember.  I just kept on looking...antiques, crocks, collections...

Then I look up and Wow yes that is what I thought when I saw the other section behind the counter....windows, bright light and more collections!  Let's get a closer look.

Look through there....a step down into another storage area and counter top.  She has a shelf filled with cookbooks underneath the coffee station to the back.

Look at the counter space!  I am a coffee lover so I love this space!

She even has her own recipes organized neatly in a book conveniently handy for use.  I need to do this.  My personal cookbook is online at Dolly is Cooking..but I am going to copy Sara and make my own collection for handy reference..(plus I am going to write a cookbook).  Sara has given me so many wonderful ideas for displaying and organizing my home, just by touring hers.

A shot from the other side of the room.  She has a very clean kitchen!
I didn't give her any notice that I was coming on this day so yes she is a great housekeeper.

Let's step outside onto her screened in porch, a spot she says she enjoys very much.

It is a very cozy spot and the fan helps make it so pleasant.  I was tempted to stay here but had to get up and move.  Wait a minute I see something very familiar on this antique bench to the right.

The seat cushion on this bench is one that I made for Sara over 20 years ago.  She still keeps it!  I see a pattern here and it is if something has a meaning it stays with her no matter how many moves and homes!  This touched my heart.

Check out that cool flamingo!

Hope you enjoyed your tour we'll visit her guest bedroom soon!
